No Papers No License

It seems as if Hillary Clinton has faced alot of criticisms from alot presidential candidates in both parties for refusing commitment on answers on The New York Governor Eliot Spitzers view to allow illegal immigrants in his state to receive driver's licenses. The Governor did back away from this attempt.

Hillary stated "I support Governor Spitzer's decision today to withdraw his proposal."

Hillary also stated"As president, I will not support driver's licenses for undocumented people and will press for comprehensive immigration refor that deals with all of the issues around illegal immigration including border security and fixing our broken system."

Clinton was stumbling about the issue during a democratic debate that happened two weeks ago.

Colleen Flanagan, a spokesman for Chris Dodd, called Clinton's position "flip-flopping cubed. She was for it before she was against it, before she was for it, before she was against it."

Spitzer admitted that there was too much public opposition to his plan.

"It does not take a stethoscope to hear the pulse of New Yorkers on this topic," he said.

Governor Spitzer introduced the plan two months ago with the goal of increased security, safer roads and an opportunity to bring immigrants "out of the shadows." Rivals to this plan believed this would make it easier for would-be terrorists to get identification, and make the country less safe.

 Michael Chertoff, Homeland Securties Secretary, called Spitzer's reversal on the license issue "a good development" and said immigration is a federal issue for which his department has to "ramp up enforcement."

It's Not The Time For a Black or Woman President

I believe that in the next elections that are coming up for the new presidential term on November 8, 2008 niether Hillary nor Barack should win. The reason why I say this is not because I dont want them to be the president I just believe that in this point in time because of  President Bush's incohesive behaviors or destruction that he has caused will effect the next president of the United States. The way history plays out it seems as if everytime a new president comes in he has to carry over the burden the other president has left. Now I'am specifically saying Hillary and Barack because it would be the first black president if Barack wins or it would be the first woman president if Hillary wins.

If either of them win people may put the blame or pressure on them to fix the country. Now if Hillary nor Barack can fulfill this burden, the people of the United States may never want a black or woman president win an election term again. I personally believe this shouldn't happen.

If Hillary or Barack wins the presidential election I hope people can understand that they are going to have to be the ones taking over Bush's mess and we should take that into consideration. It would be a good thing for one of them to win because I believe these two canidates because they seem more than qualified and can help minorities, woman or underpriveleged people have a better life in this country.
