"Learn Something From A Cartoon"

Well if you didn't know about this comic strip turned tv show you are going to hear about it now.

The Boondocks was created by Aaron McGruder who started his comic strip at the University of Maryland, it first started as a comic strip in a famous hip-hop magazine known as The Source. But because of its popularity it was syndicated for nation distribution and turned up in more than 150 U.S newspapers as of 1999. The Boondocks is about two African American Chicago boys living in a predominately white suburbian area. It's most common topic is about race. It is shown on tv on cartoon network usually at 11 p.m.

I like The Boondocks because its a funny show that teaches about situations in a comedical way.

I believe there should be more cartoon shows that show issues to the world while making it appealing.

So check the show out if you dont like it than hey what can I say.

"Kingdom Come"

If you didnt know there has been discussions going around of the world ending December 2012. Do I believe in this..........hell F#!$%^ no. But it does rattle you a little bit.

I remember there was the Y2K scare where people would run to the stores and stock up in grocerys and appliances. I know this because my friend was one of them.

But I am going to go back to as why people think the world is going to end in 2012.

Well this whole story started because of the Mayans.

The Mayans was a civilization located in southern Mexico, Guatemala and Belize and flourished between the third and tenth centuries A.D. but they have dissapeared for reason that are unknown.

With the discovery of the Mayans there was the discovery of the Mayan Calender which marked the passage of time with three cycles that ran parallel.

- The 1st calender is called Tzolkin: It combine the numbers from 1 through 13 with a sequence of 20-day names.

                            ex. 1-Kimi is actually considered in our terms Monday the 1st

              > After 260 days the calender starts over.

- The 2nd calender is called The Haab: It consist of 18 months each with 20 days

              >  There is also another month which only consist of 5 days(known as the period of bad luck)

                      - Thus we get 365 days approx. a year.

              >  The purpose of the calender is to keeps track of seasonal and solar events which occurs roughly the same day of each year.

These two calenders harmonize every 52 days (It was expected the world would end everytime this happens)

- The 3rd calender is called "The Long Count": It is a continous record of days that starts over every 5000 yrs

              > The current Long Count started in August 13. 3114 B.C.

              > The Mayan date looks like this: 13.0.0.0.0 4 Ahau 8 Cumku

                  - 13.0.0.0.0 4 is the long count calender

                  - 8 Cumku is the Haab calender

                  - 4 Ahau is the Tzolin calender

In Mayan mythology Mayans believe every Long Count cycle creates a new world where the gods attempted to create worshipers and obedient creatures

              > The First Age was the creation of the Earth, it was destroyed because the birds and animals lacked speech

              > The Second Age the gods created humans out of mud but couldnt please the gods.

              > The Third Age the gods created humans out of mud but couldnt please the gods.

              > The Fourth Age    ?.....................I Guess we will see

It is said these Ages were the evolutionary change.

What is suppose to happen on December 2012:

* Pole Reversal- When this happens the north and south pole switches places this could lead to worldwide mass extinctions, volcanoes, and earthquakes.

* The Earth and Sun will be at the center of the milky way (what does this mean?)

"Cant Hide"

Well we all have heard the samething over and over from our parents saying, "I was a kid once" and "Back in my day I had too do this." Well since I dont have kids.............. I went and researched every parent and ask them what do they think........ I can find these are the things they say:

" The same way I acted as a kid is the same way my child is acting."

" I know my son is having sex but I was his age once so I am not going to be a hypocrite."

" Even when I was younger I use to think my parent's didnt know certain things, but when I grew up they told me they knew, and to validate it they explained what exactly I have done and what they have done in a similiar matter." " For example my mother knew I snucked out the house to see my boyfriend how I would put up the music in order for the creaky floors not to happen." "But she knew what was going on." "She told me she did the same thing." " She even said she went in my room when I sneaked out but didn't say anything."

" Oh believe me I know what is going on I just over look the situation because I didnt want to treat my kid the same way I was treated."

" Why do you think I am overprotective?" The stuff I did I am fearful for my child."(ha ha)

So there you go parents do know what is going. Well not exactly because of new technology and the way the world changes kids may still have a little edge because most parents nowadays do not know how to use some of the new gadgets being found today that is how some parents get manipulated.

Social Networking Can Get You In Trouble

Of course myspace, facebook, aim, youtube they are great programs to use to talk to your friends and family but what are the dangers of it?

AIM

Well first thing is first have you ever looked at you aim program and just scroll at everybody's 'away message' because your bored? Well if you have aim and you do scroll and look at each others aim 'away message' you will notice these things:

1. People complaining about their boyfriend or girlfriend saying how much he is a jerk or how much she is a hoe because they got cheated on or lied too.

2. People who look at your away message can know the location where you could currently be at ex: school, movies, work, sister house, grandmas house, the person your having an affair with etc....

Facebook

If you have facebook you should definitely know that anybody can know your business!

1. If you get 'tagged' your "done for" because usually its an embarrasing pic of you that you cannot delete-you can get caught cheating with someone-----you friends parents can find you doing something innapropriate and tell your parents------you can lose a job because of an employee showing how your night life is to your boss etc....

2. Any messages you send someone can be seen...

There is NO secrets with facebook

Myspace

Now myspace is very dangerous because the simple fact is perverts and rapist go through the myspace and look for girls as their targets.

1. Girls have been molested and raped because of myspace----its not myspace fault its the girls who put themselves out their half naked, displaying exactly where they live down to the 'tee', and some incredibly nasty stuff

2. If your dumb enough to put every information out there about you then you cause problems on too yourself that is how people can come to your neighborhood and kill you

3. Myspace has broken up alot of relationships so be careful.....

YouTube

Now its alright to post videos but......dont post videos showing where you live!

1. People have been killed because of someone being a certain skin color or religion accidentally displayed where they lived.......So in turn the killer will go to your location and kill you.

2. Cops was able to use YouTube to get people arrested.

3. Showing someone your visual identity is never a good thing

In conclusion be careful when using these social networks there not the one to blame if something happens to you but if you do something stupid you can be raped, robbed, extorted, beaten up, lose your job, lose respect, be outcasted, molested, and killed!!!!
